I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and look forward to reading the rest of the Montalbano series.
A high powered man is found dead in Sicily, and to all outward appearances it seems that he simply died of a heart attack, in a rather indelicate position.
However, Inspector Salvo Montalbano, who is grumpy, witty, and very moral, suspects that all is not as it seems, and determines to discover the truth.
The book is amusing, believeable and very pacey. Definitely recommended.
This is the 13th book I read this year.

As a great fan of the Montalbano series, I can just say read on, the best is still to come. (Let's just say I've got a bit of the inside scoop as I read the series in French.)
Another great series is that of Chief Inspector Adamsberg by Fred Vargas (translated from French). Adamsberg is a phlegmatic character who relies as much on intuition as logic to solve a mystery. Should you be curious, I recommend you start with "Have Mercy on Us All".
