Book #43: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

I enjoyed this book a lot, but I don't think that it's as awesome as a lot of people find it to be. I thought it was good, maybe even great, but not amazing. It was a very fast read; I read it in less than 48 hours. I'm going to continue reading the series and see what I think of the rest of it.

I absolutely love the series --- but after what my two sisters and niece described of the movie, I wouldn't recommend going to that, of which I am not now. I'm not at the least bit bummed about it either. I really enjoyed the books though. But then I am big vampire fan -- coming from Buffy the Vampire & ANGEL series fan... Hope you enjoy the rest of the books!

I've heard that people who have read the books hated the movie, and people who have not read the books thought it was good. We can very seldom afford to go to the movies (usually it's for someone's birthday), so I know that I won't get a chance to see it until it shows up on cable, and I'm in no hurry.

According to my sister, Edwards car is wrong in the movie, and some of the scenes are wrong, and then other scenes that are BIG in the book are barely mentioned in the movie. Alice has like a few lines and that is it. I'd like to see it still out of curiosity, but I am not going to go to the theatre to see it. We don't go to the movies either really... the last time we went was the the $1 theatre to take Hunter to the Bee Movie. And before that, it was when I was pregnant with Hunter.
